Fixed

Background updates can now replace the shared modules in C:\ProgramData\ArchPlug\Shared. The folder was installed read-only for the user, so a package that touched those files was rejected as a whole and nothing was updated. The folder now gets write permission during installation, the same way the families folder already did. This release has to be installed once for the permission to be applied; background updates work on their own afterwards.

Ribbon icon is back to the standard ArchPlug green. The previous release carried an internal test build in which the icon had been recoloured; only the icon was affected, no command or setting behaved differently.

Anonymous usage counters: which command was run and how often, so development follows what is actually used. No e-mail, file names, model or project data is sent. Switch it off with "send_usage": false in C:\ProgramData\ArchPlug\settings.json.

Fixed

The background updater no longer opens an empty black PowerShell window. On Windows 11 the default terminal ignored the hidden-window flag, so the window stayed on screen for as long as Revit was open (ArchPlug Settings 1.29.9).

Full Python traceback in the error report - file, line and call stack of the script itself, instead of the bare .NET stack that said nothing about where the script broke.
Local log file %APPDATA%\ArchPlug\logs\<plugin>.log (rotated at 512 KB, one previous file kept, Windows user name removed). It can be sent by e-mail when there is no internet connection.

The error dialog says in one sentence what happened and what to do; the traceback sits behind 'Show details', with the log path and the support address in the footer.
The ArchPlug settings window carries the ArchPlug icon in its own title bar. A window with no icon of its own borrows the one from the running program, so until now the title bar showed the Revit logo.
Shared ArchPlug Core runtime cleaned up to 1.0.6: 324 unused standard library files dropped, and the download is about 40% smaller. Nothing the plugin actually imports was touched, and a new gate checks the runtime before every Core release.

Fixed

shutil, tempfile and zipfile could not be imported from the shared runtime at all: Lib\shutil.py had been syntactically broken in every ArchPlug Core since the first one, so any script touching a temporary file or a zip archive failed for no visible reason.
Two runs that produced no dimension used to end in silence. Detailed dimensions now name the rooms for which no usable boundary segment was found, and basic dimensions say the same, together with what to check - that the room is fully enclosed by walls or room separation lines, and that the offset is not too large.
Basic room dimensions on a standalone room. A room whose walls stop exactly at the corners - a garage, a shed, a single outbuilding - got no dimensions at all, because the dimension line is placed outside the room and references were only taken from walls whose centreline crosses that line; the side walls of such a room never reach it. The collection is now retried with the line on the room boundary, where it always crosses the walls the boundary runs between, and the offset is applied only when the dimension itself is drawn. Rooms that already worked are unchanged, down to the same number of dimensions.
Clicking the ribbon button with no project open no longer produces an error dialog - the plugin says 'Open a project first.'
Licence check hardened: it fails closed when it cannot verify, a tampered stamp no longer earns extra grace days, the newest trace wins when the two stamps disagree, and an expired offline token is reported as 'offline too long' instead of 'cannot verify'.

Removed

Process-wide TLS protocol override that every other Revit add-in inherited.
Unused ensurepip package from the shared runtime, together with the pip and setuptools archives bundled inside it. They were never opened by anything we ship.

Installer failing with 0x80091007 (shared runtime hash mismatch). The setup carried the checksum of one version of the shared ArchPlug Core runtime while downloading another, so installation stopped on every clean machine.

Four of those states used to end up as the same sentence, 'Connect this computer to the internet'.
Released 2026-09-01. The licence button is 'Refresh'; prices are never written into the DLL.

Fixed

With no e-mail entered the licence check was never sent at all, so the cache stayed 'unknown' and the plugin dropped into the 10-day offline window and then locked.
